The Great Search

This is my generation

The final generation

We are screaming;

searching for;

in desperate need of

Love

We'll look for it

In parents;

In boyfriends;

In drugs;

In drinking;

In bars,

and fast cars,

 and "I don't care if we go to far"s

In getting laid,

and getting paid;

In finding a laugh,

and finding "your other half"

In "everything is permissible"..

What they forget is the last part of Paul's quote:

"Everything may be permissible, but not everything is beneficial"

Love is a feeling

Love is infatuation

Love is...

Sex?

It must be so

If so many broken, young women

Give sex

to get love-

Temporary love-

Fake love-

What is love?!?!

1 John 4:16 reveals

God is love

Without God, there is no love

"Love is all we need"

Yes!

But...

If God is clearly love..

Isn't God all we need..?

1 John 4:19 says why we even have the ability 

(and the obligation)

to love.

It says:

"We love because He first loved us"

This is my generation

Searching for; Screaming for; In desperate need of;

(what they call)...love?

Or are they unknowingly searching for..

God?

My Jesus!

My Lord and Savior

My best friend and boyfriend

My forgiver and restorer

My joy and hope for change

My heart and light in the dark

My leader and example of good

My servant and master

My lover and soul comforter

My shoulder to cry and lean on

My strong tower and refuge

My dawn and my dusk

My early morning sun and midnight moon

My reason to move forward

My only source of compassion in me and for me
My debt-payer and slate-cleaner

My warmth when its freezing and cool breeze when its scorching

My Prince charming and perfect friend

My too-good-to-be-true dream

My well-spring of eternal and abundant life

My healing and my truth

My provider and protection

My strong one who is always dependable

My love who knows me more than I do,

will always love me more than anyone can,

and see my potential and beauty more than I ever will~

Alriiiight. Let's get this party started! hahaha..

Hopefully Im going to be posting atleast once a week talking about different things(All of them having to do with my experience with God, or what I am learning recently, or what I need to learn....you get the point..). I hope that by me opening up to you, and sharing things from every aspect of my "Journey to the heart of the Son", that it inspires you, strengthens you, and encourages you. Ultimately, of course, pointing you to the one I am following; Jesus!
